WINTER EVENTS in BOHINJ

Whilst most events in Bohinj take place during the summer season, our winter events will also give you lots of pleasure.

WINTER sport events 

Different competitions at the local and global level take place during the winter: the Telemark FIS World Cup, the Biathlon World Cup, cross-country skiing competitions, the Natural Track Luge World Cup, the Paraski Europacup, different snowboarding and skiing events, traditional ski touring on Rodica, Eurosank, ski jumping competitions and others.

FUN EVENTS

During the Christmas and New Year holidays, you can go to one of many interesting concerts. At the time of the Carnival children can have fun at “BO brrr FEjST”, a winter festival for children. 

Bigger concerts and celebrations are accompanied by various cultural events, smaller parties in the bars in Bohinj, and Wednesday workshops, performances and ‘fairy-tale hours’ for children. 

“Otepanje”, a traditional Christmas or New Year custom, is also typical of some of the villages in Bohinj.
