BREATHTAKING VIEWS AT VOGEL

The inspiring views begin to unfold even during the cable car ride. In every season of the year, new dimensions of the Julian Alps and Bohinj open up with every additional metre of height.

The upper Vogel cable car station, located at 1,535 metres, greets visitors with spectacular panoramic views of Komna, the Triglav mountains and all the way to the Kamnik and Savinja Alps. You can also admire the views through the tourist binoculars provided.

This is why Vogel is an excellent choice for anyone who wishes to admire the views of the Alps ‘the easy way’ or for some other reason does not have the chance to enjoy them.

TAKE THE ORLOVE GLAVE CHAIRLIFT FOR THE BEST VIEW AT VOGEL

Besides the panoramic cable car ride, you can also take the quad chairlift to the top of Orlove glave at 1,682 metres. Next to the chairlift exit you will see a bell on your right side – if you ring it, all your wishes are supposed to come true.

Only a few steps away you will find the Orlove glave mouintain hut where you can try some of Bohinj’s traditional dishes and have a refreshing drink. To return to the cable car, you have two options: a ride back down the chairlift or a walk down a relatively gentle slope.

VIEWPOINTS IN BOHINJ (WITH VIEWS OF VOGEL)

Bohinj in general also offers a number of views that make your heart sing. The panoramas from some of the viewpoints extend to Vogel as well.

These viewpoints, mostly easily accessible, are the perfect choice for one-day trips or shorter nature walks.
