10 Rules how to ski safely
CONSIDERING OTHERS
• A skier must act in a way not to endanger or hurt other participants.
CHOOSING SKI RUN
• A faster skier must choose a ski run in a way not to endanger skiers in front of him.
OVERTAKING
• A skier is allowed to overtake others but in a distance allowing others to ski safely.
SKI KNOWLEDGE
• A skier cannot ski by heart. He must adjust his speed according to his knowledge, conditions and number of skiers on the ski slope.
DOWNHILL
• Before a skier decides to ski off, he must look up and down and make sure the slope is safe for him and others.
HOW TO STOP
• A skier must never stop at more demanding parts of the slope - except in case of emergency, but must withdraw as soon as possible.
GOING UP – GOING DOWNE
• A skier can use only the edge of the slope when walking up or down.
CONSIDERING SIGNS
• A skier is obligated to follow information, signal and traffic signs on the ski slope.
ACCIDENTS
• A skier is obligated to help an injured person as much as he can.
SKIERS IDENTITY
• A skier, a participant or a witness, responsible or not, is obligated to show his/her identity documents after an accident happened.
